We carried out a townscape and visual impact assessment of effects of a number of developments to inform local authority opinion on development. Assessment was undertaken in line with GLVIA and other guidance. These include:
• 25 storey tower block in marina- Meridian Tower (pictured). We judged that the tower, the highest in Wales, and related development was appropriate to the sweep of the bay and the adjoining dock/marina.
• Superstore near coast of Swansea Bay in residential area.
• Residential development in settlement adjacent to Gower AONB (Langland Bay).
